About the Conference

The Department of Risk Management and Insurance of the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University is pleased to host IME 2016. IME 2016 is the twentieth international congress on Insurance: Mathematics and Economics.

The Insurance: Mathematics and Economics congress series is one of the largest and most prominent meeting series in actuarial science. It brings together researchers and practitioners interested in the latest developments in actuarial science to exchange ideas and learn from each other. The first congress took place in Amsterdam in 1997. Since then the meetings have occurred in different locations around the globe. This is only the second time it is taking place in the United States (after State College in 2001) and the fourth time it is taking place in North America. We are excited about the opportunity to introduce you to our department and to Atlanta, an epicenter of business in the Southeast as well as the world.
