The workshop will be hosted by the Munich Risk and Insurance Center (MRIC) at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) in Munich, Germany, and organized by Andreas Richter and Jörg Schiller. It will be held in cooperation with the Center for the Economic Analysis of Risk (CEAR) at Georgia State University. The preliminary schedule has Professors Christine Laudenbach (Goethe University Frankfurt) and Daniel Gottlieb (London School of Economics) giving plenary talks.

The International Conference on Inclusive Insurance 2024 will take place from 21-25 October 2024 at the historic Lal Durbar Convention Center in Kathmandu, Nepal . Experts from 50+ countries will discuss and identify ways of accelerating growth and economic viability in inclusive insurance for emerging markets. The conference will be hosted by the Nepal Insurance Association, Life Insurance Association Nepal, Nepal Microinsurance Association and the Nepal Insurance Authority in cooperation with Munich Re Foundation and the Microinsurance Network.

From October 7 to 8, 2024, the HCHE invites to the 9th Workshop in Behavioral and Experimental Health Economics (BEH) in Hamburg for the first time. The workshop brings together economists and behavioral scientists who apply behavioral economic insights and experimental methods to investigate health-related decisions. The event is being hosted by the Behavioural Experiments in Health Network based in London.

The SFS Cavalcade is an annual conference covering all areas of finance. The planned format is 45 minutes per paper with 9 parallel sessions. Our goal is to provide a setting that produces the kind of in-depth participation of a smaller conference while accommodating the variety of papers of a larger one. The host school’s faculty and PhD students receive complimentary registration to the conference. The SFS Cavalcade is a joint project of the Review of Financial Studies, the Review of Corporate Finance Studies, and the Review of Asset Pricing Studies.

CEAR is happy to be a sponsor of the 2024 Southeastern Hedge Fund Competition. This competition offers participants the opportunity to apply theory to practical strategies. Student teams submit hedge fund strategy proposals that are evaluated by a panel of investment professionals. The top five teams will be invited to Atlanta for the final competition in April.
