CEAR Fellows - Who We Are
CEAR Fellows are researchers that have an affiliation with CEAR. They will be a mixture of GSU and non-GSU researchers. The primary function of CEAR Fellows is participation in the CEAR Workshop Series, in person and virtually. CEAR will fund travel expenses for Fellows to attend up to one or two CEAR Workshops per year. Fellows are permitted to submit proposals to host and coordinate CEAR Workshops or CEAR Conferences, and to submit proposals for “Small-scale research projects” or “Larger-scale research projects” research projects. Fellows will also have access to a network of researchers active in their areas of scholarship, including senior researchers willing to comment on papers. Additionally Fellows that are visiting or need access to library privileges at Georgia State University can request an affiliate card.
Fellows are expected to acknowledge CEAR support on publications.
Fellows will be appointed upon review and approval by the CEAR Advisory Board, based on nominations from the CEAR Director, Program Directors, Advisory Board members, or CEAR affiliated departmental faculty. There will be a preference for the encouragement of junior faculty as CEAR Fellows, and a preference for those collaborating with GSU faculty. Appointments are for 1 year, with re-appointment at the discretion of the CEAR Director in consultation with the CEAR Advisory Board. There will be no set number of Fellows. CEAR Advisory Board members will automatically be CEAR Fellows.
